Where the Streets Have No Names

Another great trip out to the desert! We found seven rare plants (3 of them cacti).
The desert is in full bloom near the Mojave National Preserve. The rare Grusonia parishii, lovingly referred to as 'Dead cactus'.
It is actually alive and well and will bloom soon!A great view of Clark Mountain

Reunion in the Desert

These friends decided to combine a reunion vacation with the Rare Plant Treasure Hunt.
Not only did they find a new appreciation for the desert but they also found this,
the rare Purplenerve spring parsley- Cymopterus multinervatus.
